Aren’t inside jokes grand? They are basically jokes that have another job besides being funny – they secretly make you feel a part of something exclusive and like you are soooo clever because you got it while others are scratching their heads. Btw, ‘scratching your head’ is such a weird phrase….why would one scratch their head if he/she is confused? Perhaps people think the stimulus of a scratch on the skull would somehow incite and arouse the brain into understanding? Hog wash. I hope you pick up what I’m laying down, I am all about cutting people some slack, but I can’t beat around the bush any longer…it’s not rocket science. •

Omg, these idioms are getting out of hand. I mean, they are a blessing in disguise even though they are a dime a dozen and I should just bite the bullet because no pain, no gain – right? Also, it feels good to let someone off the hook especially after you wrap your mind around what they are trying to tell you – so idioms have their place in the world. Okay, self…easy does it, I think you better call it a day and either hit the sack or go back to the drawing board. WINKKK. Why does it feel like my wink isn’t as cute as SJ’s?
